Lisa Schmith

Lisa Schmith is an energetic and strategic leader with a purposeful approach to developing others through formal and informal opportunities. Lisa specializes in creating development workshops and programs, equipping current and emerging leaders, strategic initiatives, and employee engagement. Lisa operates Meridian Leadership Solutions, DBA Strengths Catalyst which is a Certified California Small Business. She concentrates in coaching, consulting, leadership and managerial development services for the public sector, non-profit and small businesses. Lisa is a Gallup® Certified Strengths Coach, trained Gallup® Discovery Trainer, trained facilitator of The Leadership Challenge© (TLC) and trained Coach for the Leadership Practices Inventory (LPI) 360-degree assessment, and a California Certified Incident Command System Instructor.

Lisa has decades of state government experience as a leadership practitioner, including extensive statutory responsibility as a Governor appointee, and over 10 years in appointed executive roles. Lisa has overseen diverse programs from program planning, policy formulation, organization coordination and control, fiscal and personnel management, to operational programs of enforcement and emergency response. She holds a Master of Art Degree in Organizational Management, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice Administration, graduate of the F.B.I. National Academy, and possesses a California P.O.S.T. (Peace Officer Standards & Training) basic, supervisory, managerial and executive certifications.
